Allow me to cock a little (for hurry: The part that deals exclusively with the x100, can be found at the dotted section!): I must admit, with Fuji X100 I share a love-hate relationship! I had reserved me a silver x100 immediately after the announcement and was among the first who were allowed to keep this camera in hand. Rarely unpacking a camera has been so much fun (Limited Edition): carefully arranged packing cartons, in elegant black, high-quality materials wherever you look and the whole thing in a wooden crate. Madness! The Fuji was at that time, of course, not a bargain, but alone the way, as this camera came into the house, remained sustained in my memory. After being charged the battery after what felt like an eternity finally could be even tested through its paces on the camera. Unfortunately, the screen did not materialize. Why, I had caught about a defective model? The answer was the turn of the battery, which is not marked as such, unfortunately (still) and upside down can be placed into the case. The camera itself sprayed an incomparable analogue Sharm, a great aperture ring, separate time wheel, direct correction possibility of exposure and of course, the Hybrid Viewfinder, I was thrilled! The enthusiasm lay a little, when I had the Fuji on various occasions (weddings, vacations, family reunions) in use. Image quality was (and still is) an excellent and did not doubt that I had found the camera for me me. Had there not been this strange autofocus. The distance from which they could focus only in significantly slower macro mode was clear to me too big! I had the impression that I changed more between macro and normal mode back and forth as I was able to enjoy the analog switches and scroll wheel. In addition were joined by a very leisurely start the camera after turning off and a considerably long writing speed, even with very fast SD card. Unfortunately, ashes on my head, I increasingly lost patience at the Fuji and sold them again with a heavy heart. There was an odyssey through various camera models and brands, but neither Canon nor Nikon or Olympus I found what I liked about the x100 so. Analog Sharm paired when operating with excellent picture quality. The x100 never went out of my head and remained permanently in memory. I have now three Fuji X cameras (X-E1, two X-T1) and feel in Fuji X system finally at ease and at home. The end of 2014, I began again fire for x100. ______________________________________________________________ I had long wondered whether the x100t should not however, but in the end won the reason, and I set out on a search for a x100 Limited Edition. The x100t offers undoubtedly an excellent package and I had not, it would be my decision was clear and to the old x100 failed already the X-T1. But now to the point, just as cut off the X100 with the latest firmware? I could compare luckily at the photo shop of my confidence the x100 against x100s directly. The speed advantage, which I had promised from the x100s, I could not find, contrary to expectations. The x100 found quickly and precisely their goal, no more compared to the X100, I remembered. Another sticking point that tipped the scales in favor of the X100, the opportunity fn and RAW button was to be able to demonstrate freely. The Quick menu, as provided for in the x100t (and probably at some point the x100s), I do not like, I rarely alters more than two parameters in addition to exposure, ISO and aperture and therefore see no need to constantly use the screen. The X100 offers in my eyes an incredibly good package, which does not appear even more attractive with the new converters. Very good image quality up to ISO 3200, great JPEG converter in the camera, excellent operating concept and a viewfinder that still has no equal in modern times (outside the x100-system). If we now draw even the savings compared to the x100s added, so you have enough money to be in addition to a x100 Limited Edition one more in hand Sale even purchase both converters. So then you have an ultimate compact travel kit with focal lengths from 28, 35 and 50mm (KB). I will not give my x100, they accompanied me every day and gave me a lot of pictures brought again that I like very much and bring me good memories. However, more importantly weighs the fact that they brought me more than any other camera in front of her one thing comes up short in all the discussions about technology exemption, bokeh and High-ISO often: the fun of photography. And this alone can not be measured with money! _________________________________________________________________ Recommendation: cost-conscious buyers look around for a used x100 and take in a great camera, the last is the camera after several firmware updates that they are to be had from the beginning. The x100t is interesting for beginners who do not yet have x100 or X-T1 and have the wherewithal. The new viewfinder with split-image and the electronic shutter, the exposure has to 1/32000 second, are useful additions and depending on your taste quite the charge to a value x100. The x100s is too expensive in my opinion for the small additional power that it brings. Many blog writing yes, they would be much more responsive and an improvement in every respect. After release of the new firmware version, the differences have but so far leveled than that I see no justification for me to pay 400 fee. Although they expected to one or the other feature of x100t gets upgraded, it is expected to be the x100 still not hands down the performance of the camera. In a year when the x100s has significantly lost in the price, this assessment should of course be reconsidered. Currently, x100s for me at any rate gives absolutely no sense. For you, dear reader, this consideration may well be different.
