I had more than 5 years 5 licenses to Norton Internet Security and was very satisfied with the software. It runs on resources, crash-free and quietly in the background - for the previous 5 Stars. BUT: Symantec subject to a US company the USA Patriot Act and it would surprise me even if they would get to be very significant, global security company still no National Security Letter (NSL). That is, if the NSA would consider it to be right, it could Symantec force at any time, to include a backdoor so that certain NSA Trojans are passed on each PC with Norton security software without notification. It may now decide for themselves whether they want to make friends with this scenario. My explicit in US software is certainly shrunk since the Snowden revelations. I have therefore preferred, switch to a German manufacturer of "Security made in Germany" to whom I trust.
