I was very disappointed for the first time using this cable and sought reimbursement to the vendor who was understanding: As an application developer, I bought these cables in order to connect all day at my mac ... But once connected, iTunes checks the certification of the cable, which is obviously not consistent. As against this cable works great to recharge his phone.
