I have recently bought a Samsung Galaxy S3 and wanted to do the smart phone with a screen protector something good. As I have already applied several films of Vikuiti on different devices, the decision a good 3M fabrication was close again to bring on sensitive display.
Unfortunately, I was disappointed this time. Actually, the films are very easy to apply, since they are precisely cut and the Gaps / curves are usually stamped. The striking 2 words: Actually and normally.
Among the deficiencies:
In the package there was a not completely punched foil, on the one hand:
- No opening of the proximity sensors in addition to the camera
- No opening for "earpiece"
and
- No rounding at the top
would have.
However, the lower part of the film was correct.
I - to the lack of rounding - initially did not notice any flaws, I went directly to the "Installation".
After 5mm of foil were applied, however, I was would clearly achieve that without manual own work no geradeso acceptable result.
Therefore I made - with a printed "dummy" -S3, a thin permanent marker and a sharp blade armed - the punches and recesses even when applying the film to bubbles, which unfortunately could not be removed without leaving any traces were formed.. Probably lacking a little moisture in the adhesive layer.
Unfortunately, I am much better of Vikuiti usual and can at least not recommend this film.
