Bought at 25 enjoying a balance in December 2014, and it's not worth more: ergonomics is really minimal and, with use, I'm a little disappointed. - As soon as you change the batteries, one must re-adjust: time, date, day, year ... - The screen is minimalist: the files are called A, B, C, D, impossible to name them. - The navigation is not intuitive, always have its hand with you! - And the kind of display letters: "Divide" it's very 80's, we would like a more readable display with understandable words, drop down kind of phone, MP3 player or simply, while there is English airtight mode (the famous "divide", apparently, is to insert bookmarks to a big sound file). - Stressful: we do not know, during recording, how much recording time remains available. We must watch for the device that will start blinking to 60 seconds to be full! Obviously, it takes hours to reach registration fill the memory (high 75h, the only method I recommend, the others being the sound porridge), but to be really sure, you have to stop recording, and go play with the menu to know which one is the remaining memory, file by file. Handy when you are trying to record someone ... A simple bar gauge that fills up, and that would remain permanently displayed above the file, it would still be easier, right? Well, that said, for an absolutely basic use (register yourself, and save college courses, we debrief soon recorded), it does. I still liked: - The small discrete cover that protects well and does not prevent recording. -The extreme compactness: 10cm long on 4cm wide, fits in a woman palm. - The automatic sleep, for the forgetful, which saves battery power. - The lifetime of the batteries: as we record, all is well, they hold 68h (according to the manual). But as soon as one is using the listening function, the lifetime is shortened to 20h. So my advice: always provide batteries rab otherwise we may not be able to debrief the registration until the end ... - The sound quality, which properly filters the ambient noise. No need to buy an external microphone, if the speaker is not all the time trying to move at least. A purchase for a one-time use, but to avoid if we expect to have many files, folders, and if you want a friendly and intuitive device. I put two stars, because at that price I bought it, I will still not complain, but it is certainly not worth the 48 original price.
