Because to me it as 100% was not clear at purchase:
- The card has an extra network port (so you need 1 Port specially count those into its switch) and then simply acts as an HTTP server as soon as the computer on power depends but itself is still off.
- Webgui works for me only with IE, Firefox depends on login
- Turn On / Off the computer can be controlled in the Webgui simply
- KVM (keyboard, video card, mouse) is then transmitted via a Java Plugin (is started up from the Webgui), worked with me reliably with a Windows client (but you already noticed a slight delay). Too bad that you can not record properly the session, it is then but a possible BIOS error message that disappears from the screen too fast, even with the card away.
- Internal graphics card continues to function, but I did not, complete Linux Debian installation I made with the card.
Built in the Micro Server HP MicroServer N36L Athlon2 1.3GHz Dual Core 1GB 1x 1x 250GB NHP SATA 150W HPS cost me but then an hour or so, if you had to do it again, but it would be 10 minutes.
No 5 star, because neither Default User / Password or the fact that the card itself via DHCP simply pick an IP address, were described somewhere in the document, had to google and look up in my DHCP server, what there for an address was awarded to "anbrowsen" the card can inital. Without DHCP you have to forgive even the BIOS to a fixed address with a normal keyboard but probably.
I am very very happy after 5 weeks now, was a good choice.
