The goal in question is actually in the heavyweight category (gender Canon 100-400), beautiful building worthy of the range EX (black matt kind tropicalized).
Do not expect to hold it at arm for too many minutes.
It is the perfect companion to a monopod.

The development is fairly quiet but not faster (tested on a EOS 7D)
at the same time to 500mm focal length it is hard to perform miracles especially with an f / 6.3 is not very bright.

Doubt is possible between a Canon 100-400 L IS and what model it wins slightly magnification while being more affordable.
