In the internet research I stumbled then desöfteren via the D-Link DP-301 +. He has a compatibility list on which even dot matrix printers are listed. There are D-Link the tip, with printers that respond confused on the print server, set the speed of the printer port to "low". This option is available with this device, as opposed to the cheap Print Server (in the I tested firmware versions). So I then brought my D-Link, set the port speed to low and since then everything is going as expected. The print jobs are processed faster, or the printer responds faster to a print job from other members. Here, the low server took a longer break memorial.
When configuring via the Web interface of the Quick Start Guide no data will be called. Standard user is with me, password blank (I had to guess). Alternatively, the server via Telnet address (password too empty or Enter). Aufgund the ability to throttle the port speed, I would recommend this device especially for printers, which is older than 15 - 20 years. For younger printer also cheaper print server should work.
For the password-guessing I pull 0.2 times from, but it's enough then for 5 star.
Officially one should anyway use the software on CD which I have not done. Probably the credentials are there in the manual-PDF, however this information may well be printed in the Quick Start Manual, where there is even a section on configuration without CD ...
