I bought my satellite speakers of hell (Consono 35) to attach these brackets to a sloping ceiling. The weight of such a loudspeaker is about 800 gr. And the brackets to make a very very solid impression on me. One does not feel that there could be problems because of the weight. Whether one heavier speakers (lt. Herstelle up to 3.5 kg) can hang it or should I sadly can not say. In my case I did not use the plugs because as I said the brackets attached to the roof pitch and this is covered with sheetrock. Thus I used Fischer drywall anchors and screws. Very handy, I also think that you can shorten these holders to stand with the speakers not too far into the room. Certainly there are other supports (ball joint) that are much cheaper, but these mounts the swing radius have not even begin to have these brackets here. They can twist and turn as you like and thus has the ability to align the speaker ideal.
But now to the reasons why I forgive only 4 star: The satellite speakers are very small and I use the connections for the cable lying directly behind the holder. Here is quite a bit around the cable to get to tinkering necessary out. In my case I used a drill and small "half-holes" cut into the bracket to the cable to get out. Too bad. If this were already at the factory so that there is the maximum score. So I have to deduct a star but unfortunately.
I hope my review could help in decision making. Those looking for supports for the roof slope, should engage in any case to this here, even if some "rework" is required.
