The cable does what it should. 3 feet are quite long, but I wanted too. Who does not so require great flexibility, is probably better off with a 1.8 meter cable. Since then is not so much about on the desk around ...

What does not make me so very happy, is the plastic connector on one side. The wobbles namely and slipped out to me even once or twice. The same problem I had, however, also with the adapter, which I have previously used. The advantage of this cable is then that the plug is just much shorter and therefore the 'Raus slip lever' not so great. I do not know whether there are Firewire 800 with better snap metal connectors. If so, and if someone needs such a cable for a highly mobile setup, I would then rather recommend.
