Sound:
Very good sound for this small speaker. At a moderate level not quite as punchy lows as the Bose SoundLink. But this is not a disadvantage, because the bass is still strong enough and the sound thus look more natural.
Volume:
Outdoors you can drown out good or a conversation is in this volume only raised his voice at a distance of 3 meters at full volume people talking. Party volume is not there. As beach PA for the berth is however perfectly adequate and it does not hurt by the neighbors.
In 20m² large room is the maximum volume is more than enough.
Battery:
The Bric Connect has no built-battery but a battery compartment for 6 x AA batteries / accumulators, which are not included and therefore have to be purchased (6 AA NiMH batteries cost about 18 plus. Charger).
This is currently unique in this class and has 2 huge advantages:
1. Are the batteries out, they simply change itself.
By comparison, other speakers with built-in lithium-ion battery must be generally submit when the battery is worn out after 5 years. In my estimation, the battery replacement will cost at least. 60th
2. If you take one or more sets of removable batteries with, you can extend the term loosely on a full day without the Bric Connect for recharging will be sidelined for several hours. With a set of 2200mAh NiMH batteries almost nine hours ran at me the Bric Connect at full volume!
Remote Control:
Extremely convenient infrared remote control, which you can practically stow away in the housing base. .. With your can adjust the volume and select the signal source (3.5 mm jack or Bluetooth it has a range of more than 4m was an Audi transmission set via Bluetooth, you can use the remote control even the music playback software: Pause / Play track up / down ,
Bluetooth:
The connection to android phone and Windows Phone 8 worked immediately. Even with my old Windows Mobile 5 PDA it works after I installed to a corr. Bluetooth software.
With my Windows 8.1 notebook I had initially no connection made (couple did not go), although it has been detected. After I had, however, carried out an update of the Bluetooth driver on the notebook and had the Edifier Bluetooth headphones set in the playback device settings of Windows 8.1 as standard, gave the Edifier box picked my music.
Aux-in jack:
Per the included 3.5mm jack cable you can Bric Connect connect with all devices that have an audio output with 3.5 mm jack. Works flawlessly.
