I do not know why all so have problems installing here. Always online download the latest software from i-tec (and information read), then install on Tablet or notebook connect (ideally under WIN 8.1 for both) and then the docking station, installed it and right then even a - Best Plug & Play! , Other USB cable off (mobile HD, mouse, keyboard, etc.) is running! LAN cables off - RUN! HDMI to TV - Runs! The docking station is ON indicates a blue light on the back (opposite connections) During my 8-WIN 8.1 Tab Dell also the small size is (kaufm larger than the cross-tab) hardly noticeable, sodas you can use it on the go. Well, the plastic casing looks a bit cheap, but the interior is the same as many others (and expensive docking) that I have seen and despite almost the same interior (Chip from Display Link), are the same. Only the i-Tec has more USB ports and especially 1x DVI and 1x HDMI! Small and compact as well!
One should always buy the USB 3.0 Docking Station (downgrade) as the slightly higher price of uses at a later use with other USB3, if you currently only uses USB2. The Dell Venue 8 Pro is going well with the I-Tec! Use two monitors together I have not tried yet, but I think that it takes on the tablet more processor use as on a I5 o. I7 notebook. But who needs more monitors in 2 series.
