The Walimex is sharp, when you hit the spot (I looked at the mud washer in the 5dM2 asugewechselt). Because of the sometimes small depth of field then you should not necessarily things photographing moving through the sharpness levels very quickly. The worm gear is beautiful but difficult liquid, what I like!
I have the Walimex Pro 85mm to the "85 1.2" and "85 1.8" against tested by Canon and the biggest difference between the three is, in my opinion, the autofocus:
From "No (Wali)" on "slow (er) (Canon 1.2)" to "fail, quickly and quietly" (Canon 1.8).
Clearly there are differences in the bokehs. The people who buy the 1.2 Canon know why they buy it. All others who may not understand or want to lie down never 2000 euros for a 85er.
It is clear that the 1.2er Canon is best protected from adversity, but the feel and durability of Walimex do not need to hide behind the.
I use the lenses 99.99% of the time is not in the rain or during a sandstorm. Which is why I, for my needs, but the "85 1.8" as a practical test feel (price / performance). Fire and Forget. Fastest autofocus. (Apart from 135mm 2.0 - but that's another story)
I can not really say that the Walimex with the third aperture more, compared to the superior Canon 85 1.8, a buy recommendation from sagging (similar price)
I also felt that the colors are a bit dull from Walimex. In times of PS and LR is also not an obstacle for many other people ...
