The advantage of magnetic charge my phone jack is not having to open the sealed cover of my Sony Xperia Z3 Compact which reduces seal wear.
Regarding the docking station, it is quite heavy and wide enough base to ensure stability.
What I like most is that it is not necessary to remove the phone from the case or its hull, the base comprising a magnetic plug has thus clear the base fits.
The base is supplied with a USB cable - Micro USB
