I compared two types of paracord cheap non MIL-C-5040H type 3 (therefore not certified 550lbs) the SODIAL and this one. This one is ben flatter than the others because the sheath is wide but there were some savings on strands. It happens an adverse reaction with lengths of more than 6m, the rope twist of her and even tangle alone. Over a length of 30 meters (100ft) it becomes a headache because the rope is Gordian knots which prohibits certain uses. I would not use this paracord for anything more than 3m in the field or you'll spend the afternoon at the unraveling. I have not tested hobby to make strips but it seems to me that flatter it should be more convenient for the handles and grips the knife.
