I own the Pulse now for 10 days and am very satisfied with the product. Earlier this year I had a Nike Fuelband for 3 months in use - sadly lacking here the sleep monitoring. With the publication of the Jawbone Up, I also tried this - it could not inspire me so, since the closure of the strip in the daily routine was very disturbing. Even the Fitbit One I could test for a few days, in fact I found the quite successful, but I was disturbed by the fact that the small tracker wants to maintain a permanent radio transmission (Bluetooth). Even if the radiation exposure is minimal, so I wanted a small transmitter not constantly have the "man". Precisely this point has solved my opinion very well Withings. The Pulse synchronizes all 6h (if the phone is in range) with the smartphone. If you can require its data earlier you synchronize with a 3 sec pressure trigger on the Pulse. For me it works very well, but one must note that if a smartphone is found, the next synchronization also takes place only in 6h. A word about the data collected. Who really expected that the tracker can replace a GPS Running Watch, has not understood my opinion the system - it is only an approximate estimate of daily activity (Nike do it quite skillfully with the conversion to Fuels - so no one can complain that the determined meter does not agree). This estimate is working very well, so I can see right away that I should move more during the weekend. Sleep monitoring agrees with me quite well with the conditions agreed. The hardware is first class - there is nothing to complain about. Why "only" four stars? I find the analysis software is still much room for improvement - not only compared with friends or badge I would hope, but also a possibility to export your data.
