I have some time ago ordered this adapter because I've gained a new router and a Fritbox needed for this adapter cable from the "phone plug" on the DSL socket of the Fritz box. Since this item below was exklsiv advertised as Fritzbox adapter cable, I did not think myself that this therefore should not be a problem ... unfortunately quite.
The problem with this cable was, these are the two contacts routed incorrectly in the female DSL socket of the adapter. They are the left and right outside, the contacts at the DSL connection of the Fritz box in the middle wobie lie.
I have the adapter still keep and tinkered from its own functional adapter:
The Telefonanaschluß the adapter I have maintained separated the DSL adapter and the cables stripped of insulation. The same, I then made even with the extension cable supplied by the Fritz box and soldered the two "bare" contacts with each other.
Works fine :) is just not quite what I wanted.
Since the product was described as follows:
"Adapter for Fritzboxkabel
TAE plug - modular coupling, 8-pin
TAE-special adapter for Fritzboxkabel (use for analog phone line)
connects the telephone output of your DSL splitter to the cable to the Fritz box "
Am I assume that the adapter is suitable for any Fritz box, unfortunately this is not apparently the case. Well, unfortunately I do not know if the adapter is only for certain models (here would be a list of useful) or whether it is generally just unusable.
The adapter itself is from a processing perspective, standard (not überragent good, but also not bad grottig) and is unbeatable pricewise compared to the things that I've found in stores.
Therefore, the 2 stars, on a reconnaissance of the problem (Is the Adapte generally unusable or only for certain models?) With the adapter I'd also be very happy.
I hope my review could help you.
Cheers
