You work tricolor cartridges.
The black could not be persuaded to print anything because the printer to install the black cartridge brought an error message and no more pressure has approved. After use of the old (empty) cartridge, it went back. When the "I'm not stupid" bought an overpriced black cartridge to print can as quickly as possible again.

So rather leave hands off.
