Since I am currently looking for a for me "matching" Photo backpack, and the search made more difficult, I have currently a very good overview of the available models and can compare this part directly.
The positives first:
Like all the backpacks Lowepro company that I had been in the fingers (including Flipside 400 AW, 350 AW FastPack Video) is also processed here this very high quality and usual excellent. The comfort is very good even with 10kg and more.
The laptop / notebook compartment holds so just barely my (15.6 ") HP EliteBook 8540w.
That was then but unfortunately about all I can say positive things to this backpack.
Because of the functionality as Fotorucksack ago, and that's the point mostly, the part falls through.
On fundamental note to the so-called FASTPACK the company Lowepro:
What might appear at first glance as a practical variant, has been in practice more disadvantages. Because you have to if you want to get to the inside pocket, always open the complete professional. That is, so too does the side panel is then off, and the camera in your pocket should be located, it can easily fall out, because the front lower "edge" is not high enough. The danger is especially when you have a small and lightweight lens (eg. 50mm) on the camera.
Also, in all FASTPACK models accommodate the camera far from optimal, as indeed noted also here already in other reviews, and you can very well see on the product image from the inner compartment. Because of the space to the left of the camera is not practically usable because you attach anything (eg. A small bag) Velcro
can, and without this possibility a everything you fall out there stowed.
Especially Fastpack 350:
The interior layout is extremely inflexible (to say the least the time), because it has "saved" on materials for Velcro patches. Just like on a tripod mount, or at least a simple latch on the outside right. Even on a protection for the bottom, or at least 2 feet (ideally which, through which you could each run through a webbing, at least to attach a tripod under the bag) you have saved.
The opening of the upper compartment (daypack) is anything but well resolved. Because there is much more practical solutions in other models.
And also has the company Lowepro as "specialist" for camera bags & backpacks sometimes can ask why you mitliefert no rain protection in a photo backpack this price (manufacturing cost presumably
My Conclusion:
Qualitative "backpack" 5 Star - from the functionality and the detailed solutions as Fotorucksack 0 star!
Then revealed rounded, but really only because of good quality just 2 stars. Those who value a good functionality, convenient handling, flexible schedule or elaborate details, which should look necessarily for another model.
