Background of purchase was a defect of my wired in-ear headphones. With a wireless Bluetooth in-ear I had flirted for some time, so even compared some reviews and then ordered the Jaybird.
In principle, a very good headset is the aural comparison to a wired in-ear mid-priced with flying colors.
As with all in-ear headphones, the correct choice of silicone essays is of course crucial for a good sound (especially for a good bass).
My decision for the Jaybird I met because of the additional mounting bracket, which should ensure a secure closure. The tight fit for me was previously a shortcoming in wired in-ear, although they were very good for the sound, but with movement of the head and in connection with the cable they loosened after some time and had to be re-used.
By eliminating the cable and the additional bracket I hoped finally the (for me) perfect because to have bombproof fitting in-ear found.
In principle, this would have been so, but I had (the personal) problem I could find no satisfactory (for my ear shape) solution using the enclosed silicone attachments and support brackets.
After the try by all combinations I had either a (reasonably) safe hold, but no reasonable sound, or a good sound but no secure grip.
Disturb proved to be also the relatively inflexible cable, there is a twist-proof wide version. The is only once not bad, but cared for me for which the in-ear broke after a few head movements of the pinna. Contributed to this certainly somewhat rough surface of the cable, she sat down on a regular basis between the collar and neck firmly and caused additional train. Even the cable provided then for a relatively high sound transmission in movement (which had already disturbed me when wired in-ear).
The Wearing style over the ear (one of the reasons why I bought the Jaybird instead of another Bluetooth in-ear) unfortunately work for me never, with any combination of silicone essays and headband I got the in-ear securely fixed, and here was the inflexible cable rather disturbing.
Conclusion for me personally: Too bad that they do not fit to my ears, because they really great in-ear are otherwise.
As pluses:
Long term (at just over 7 hours)
Very good sound (when choosing the right silicon essays)
Voice Feedback (Headphone connected, power off, etc. - is very helpful)
Low loading time
Twist-proof cable
As a (very personal) Cons:
Fairly rigid (twisting safe) and rugged cable (Transmits pretty much borne sound)
To my ears, no matching combination of silicone attachments and mounting brackets, thereby not secure hold
Cable routing via ear only when tight fit because very rigid cable
Four points is because actually everything is consistent (in particular sound, duration, Voice Feedback), the fifth is missing because the important criterion for me (tightness) is not feasible, I am aware that it is quite possible for other ears.
