In outlet plug and the device is ready for operation, which is signaled by a blue flashing light spot on the top. Immediately after it is listed at the transmitting device (MP3 player). The connection works without problems.
If you connect the Bluetooth receiver via USB to the PC, he obviously draws its power in this way, because here too, the blue light flashes. Actually, the USB port is provided for charging of connected devices. I regard as a plus point.
Without power supply, the part is dead. Even after several hours at a Stekdose or PC via USB goes directly to unplugging the blue light. A connection can not be established more. The operation via a built-in battery seems neither possible nor is this mentioned in the foreseeable instructions in a word.
