because in my Falk Navi maps were out of date and a (expensive) tickets Update decency, I decided the same for a new Navi. An important reason for choosing the Garmin Nuvi was the free lifetime map update. The map update works fine and the cards can be used with the Garmin software BaseCamp also on the PC.
Plus:
- Free Lifetime Map Update
- Fast satellite positioning
- Horizontal and vertical screen orientation possible
- Multiple search options for POIs
- Clear route display, good Autozoom
- Easy route finding thanks to adequate verbal and visual cues
- Bluetooth Speakerphone
- Set in Google Maps points can be transferred directly to the nüvi
Minus:
- In the junction view partially illegible the visual signs
- Sometimes a bit annoying computer voice
- Many Cockpit settings need a lot of space on the screen
- No indication of tolerance for warning of possible Geschwindugkeitsübertretung
The Vekehrsfunktion Navteq traffic with the resulting traffic jam avoidance, I could not test for lack of storage.
