I bought the lights for outdoor use as path lighting. The luminaires are fixed there protected from rain under a canopy by using the enclosed screws at a height of about 1m. The also enclosed dowel I have not needed. Practically, I find that the lamps can be easily hooked on a retaining plate. So attached is only the holding plate to the ground. The lights can also be put down easily The 4 AAA batteries were not included here, you thus have to buy separately. The motion sensor triggers reliably and quickly. Is it bright enough, the motion sensor is not triggered. What for? Have the lights for 5 months even with Frost in use. Two of the lights still work with the first battery pack. One lamp I had to change the batteries once. Here I noticed that with declining battery capacity, the light has not turned off reliably, thus has further illuminated permanently. Therefore, from my side a point deduction. After changing the batteries, it has but how beginning again works reliably. The brightness is sufficient at 1m distance, but can not compete with a 100W-yard light natuer light. For longer distances me the luminosity would be too low. Since I find the lights very practical, I have now bought another set. Again, all three lights work reliably. From my side so thumbs up, you can not go far wrong.
