I was convinced that the holder is stable (aluminum) and functional. It also looks visually appealing. (For other mountings such as visible fixing screws on the ceiling or "chunky" bracket rails me have bothered to accommodate the Beames.). Also the price is fully in order.
The mounting material and an Allen key are required.
Assembly requires more measuring tool (measuring tape), drill (8-drill) and screwdriver.
Installation is relatively easy for technically savvy people something.
I have first the three support arms connected to the projector. However, no suitable screws were there (M3) for my Acer device. Besides, my Acer device still has at the corresponding attachment points on a round centering. I had to zoom in a little, so that the centering fit respectively into the bore of the support arms of the support arms of the hole thus. Therefore, even 1 star deduction in the assessment, because "universal projector mount" would mean to me that the holder would have to be to use for Acer devices with no additional effort.
Next I aligned the support arms and firmly screwed to the carrier plate. The device is now firmly connected to the carrier plate. The support plate has a ball joint which can be fixed by a screw. I have the joint in advance (after you no longer comes off the screw) fixed so that it is only moving at a relatively high effort. (So I could later still align the projector, but the device does not move when you only times inserting a cable or it turns "manually".)
As the carrier plate was mounted, you could specify the point on the ceiling, on which the holes for the Projector mount had to be attached. This ensures that the picture is also true center on the canvas.
If the correct position is identified for the projector, the round ceiling-mounting plate of the bracket is fastened with three screws to the ceiling. For a possibly necessary given the set is a custom-fit approximately 1mm thick insulation board for the mounting plate. The drive compensates for any slight unevenness in the ceiling and reduces the transmission of sound (vibration etc.) on the ceiling. The mounting screws are hidden by a rosette, which I like visually well.
The mounting plate has a ball joint which can be fixed by a screw. I have - as Vohrer with the support plate - and this hinge so fixed in advance, that it is to move only with a relatively high expenditure of energy. (I have already described above the advantage.)
Depending on the ceiling height you can now choose between a longer fixing tube (15 cm) or kürzerm (8cm). These suites both tubes at the ends recesses, so that video and power cables can be routed through the tube. That is practical. With me (ceiling height 2.50 m) the short Varante is used. The tube is attached by a spring mechanism on the ball head of the mounting plate and then bolted. Subsequently, the carrier plate with the mounting tube in the same way is connected. The projector now hangs safely and securely on the ceiling.
Now the projector only needs to be connected and aligned. Alignment was very easy for me because of the mentioned ball heads.
My conclusion to this bracket:
+ Stable
+ Very functional
+ Relatively easy installation
+ Visually appealing
+ Great value for money
- Not quite universal (for Acer device I had to adjust the bracket)
