This screen is perfect for discerning viewers in terms of image quality and which are not interested in 3D. 50HZ refresh in is not at all detrimental to an immersive experience of your favorite bluray (same action / sport); because retention (blurred streak) is well managed by Sony.
So I highly recommend for those who are not interested in 3D and like to (a) see a beautiful picture and all for a great price :)
For other (3d) at the Sony NX720 seems to be an alternative;)
