+ Fast data rate, USB 3.0, thank
+ Formatted in a few seconds on Mac
+ Good price / performance (100 / 3TB)
+ Power button on the back of the HDD
Too loud for continuous operation -
Conclusion:
For someone who has otherwise worked principally with comparatively whisper 2,5er HDDs, this is definitely a change. Does the HDD, they want to share that too and I would have permanently switched, I would be on this Mac at home too loud. Because it acts as a Time Machine in my case and I therefore always turn on only for a backup, it is not quite as dramatic fortunately.
Notwithstanding this negative point, one gets here a solid 3,5er HDD and if someone does not interfere with the volume, there is a strong buy recommendation.
UPDATE: 26/12/14
In continuous operation shows that the WD is unfortunately even when not being accessed by me or Time Machine, it starts to work from time to time (subject volume).
Even if I auswerfe after the daily update, I do not Bypass this subject, this it has to be after the sacking still off.
Thus, awarded at the beginning 4 star may have been a bit extreme in terms of volume, but now fully justified in my eyes.
