The latest addition to Canon's totally bluffing. Photography Enthusiast, Canon and faithful I've always had a compact with me. I tested the Ixus (500, 980IS) for Powershot (G3, G9) but alas knew all these models impossible to make night photography: too much noise as soon as one moves up the ISO. The essential blow out "loaded" the night: Mandatory reflex! And then came the shock: Canon released a compact with incredible mastery of sound. First night out and I'm on the ass: pictures in 1600 or ISO 3200 and nothing, no trace of noise! The definition pictures is impressive. Having the device for less than 12 hours I have not been around but the little I have discovered impresses me. Ok we would like the ring around the lens allows to control the zoom, Ok lens cap dangling would deserve to be replaced by an automatic cache as the Gx, Ok zoom opening of the 2.8 to 5.8 would have been better with a fixed aperture to 2.8 But the result is awesome, I love the new modes have been added: HDR, night photos hands lifted (Intelligent Combinatorial several shots ... I found the perfect complement to my reflex ... and versatility really helps give free rein to his creativity. Canon thank you!
A recent update allows Mac OS natively support the RAW format G1X: happiness!
