GSM (EDGE, GPRS) does not work. Ideal for UMTS.

The delivered stick is the one pictured Stick the operator "3" and is described as Simlock-free.
The exact name of Huawei sticks is "E353Wu-1".
In urban areas with correspondingly good UMTS (3G) supply the stick connects easily and gets the 21 Mbps speed.

BUT in areas without UMTS - so only GSM (2G) supply - gets the pin no connection. Not even GPRS or EDGE is available.

For me, the Huawei E353Wu-1 is therefore useless because in the car and train, as well as in rural areas, the UMTS connection often breaks off and then the slower but more stable EDGE is the solution.
Unfortunately, that is not supported by the otherwise very good product.
