I opted for this model Seagate Backup Plus as it was represented for running Windows and Mac. For me, an external HDD must be connected indiscriminately under the 2 platforms (in case of computer problems, I want to be sure that I can access my data on another computer).
This external HDD is perfectly silent and MAC-compatible (with additional software).
For personal reasons, I had to reformat the HDD and change computers (another Mac). DD was then accessed more than reading, you can not add any files on it. I went on the Seagate website that offers me to download free software that helps keep her windows (MS-DOS FAT) but to fully utilize this DD on my Mac (read and write). Perfect.
