I had a good working fan, but with fixings fragile plastic lugs and quickly broke the first dismantling (for cleaning dusty blades for example). Result: PC running always of course, but from time to time, vibrations due to poor fixation with annoying noise (listening to music for ex.). The change was radical: more noise, impeccable maintenance on its mountings Xilence LGA775. Little technical detail: the mounting of the fan requires the removal of the CM because the spring on screw fixings (otherwise more effective than fast, but fragile by lugs) requires to present the female part (nuts located in the CM, in the holes provided for this purpose) and to access the bottom of the CM, need for complete disassembly thereof. Regardless, for fixing on the housing, no pb. Simply pay attention to electrical connectors, particularly those linking the faceplate with boxes (card readers, and other devices facade), usually small black connector pin 1, and you can quickly confuse the terminals if you do not mark their position before dismantling. For my part I use my digital camera in macro mode without flash, to keep one (or more views) mounting, and no problems like that assemble all alike!
