Image Quality:
Measuring must be the LG49UB820V with my predecessor-the LG47LA6408 TV (Full HD model from 2013, about the same price range).
It is striking that the preset picture modes are all not really great, but was so far in all my LG devices so that I had to play around even before I had a good picture for me. Did end up just the same settings selected as the LG47LA6408.
In TV shows in native HD or Blu-ray movies, the image quality is very good, but the picture quality is at LG47LA6408 just very good. I can say with a viewing distance of nearly 3m honestly see any "improvement". With 4K trailers can already be seen, has the potential of TV, just what use is it if there are currently no or only very little native 4K footage.
In TV program in non-native HD or SD, it is so that the LG49UB820V felt a minimally worse picture delivers as the LG47LA6408. The image is ok, but the LG47LA6408 provides in my opinion a better picture. It seems stop but to be something else, if you SD extrapolate to 2 million pixels, or 8 million pixels.
Image quality native HD / 4K: very good 4.5 / 5 points
Image quality is not native HD / SD: "only" good 3.5 / 5 points
In sum: 4/5 points
Conclusion:
I can recommend the LG 49UB820V the people who just need a new device and the primary native HD images using (Blu-ray, game consoles, TV broadcasts in native HD). People who just need a new device, but do not use primarily native HD images, I can not fully recommend the TV. You should think about you if you are not better off with a current Full HD TV. Persons who do not have a current TV, with which they are actually happy, but where it itches in the fingers, but to even buy a UHD TV, I say, let there be waiting for future models.
