By chance I came across during my research on the mechanical keyboard and read by their quality significantly handset. Immediately I realized that the price of "normal" gaming keyboards is justified in any way. So a Raptor k1 ordered (cheapest mechanical keyboard).
With high expectations of the keys I took out the good piece. At first I was a bit surprised by the dimensions, clearly, it has a compact layout.
The first pressing one of the buttons made me forget this immediately, however. Anyone who has ever typed on a mechanical keyboard, will want nothing else.
Practical are also the attached key lock. With a few simple steps can be so beliegige key block. (In my case, for example, the Caps Lock key and Windows key) The latter turns out one way or another very discreet and is still a corner is smaller than the letters, also not printed.
The lighted keys are not really, to use the light effect. Need to bring them to light up really be almost the screen. However, they have a great side effect: They are higher than the other keys. I use them on my frequently used for certain gaming keys. When writing to this beginning to feel a little weird, but you get used to it (They can indeed leave ...).
The only real downside for me is that by the mechanical keys rather high style. The keyboard is very thick, which can make them uncomfortable without any palmrest for some people.
Another minus point for me, however, not relevant, the USB slots are located at the back of the keyboard. These are unfortunately only USB 1.1, which makes it for the transmission of larger data (USB stick / hard disk) unsuitable.
All in all you get here for your money really quality and not just a standard plastic keyboard with NEM logo on it. If you like more bells and whistles, but still wants to mechanical buttons, but you have to dig deeper into their pockets. For the first steps in the mechanical division this keyboard is perfect, however. For me perfect because I need and do not want any extra features that cost money unnecessarily.
