I have previously 13 years had a Benq 5000 scanner, which was unfortunately now broke.
(Even ran with "Vuescan" on Win7 64bit.)
So I needed a new scanner, but by no means a CIS scanner that do not have depth of field.
So there was only a CCD scanner that has the necessary depth of field.
First, I had the great Canon 9000F Mark II envisaged, but 200 then I did not want to spend that I'm doing for a few scans per year.
Then remained an HP Scanjet 3110 scanner (99), where the software is not great lt. Review, and the mousy case is anything but beautiful.
Since I have no slides, I then decided to use the Epson Perfection V37 (86.90), the V370 has a Diaausatz but also costs, directly times ~ 15-20 euros more.
Well, first I have installed the device drivers on Win7, there am I in so doing, I have searched on the CD under Device Manager the scanner manually by the driver.
It worked well, and I could then with other programs do the photo scans.
Now I wanted the scanner Unignore where you should press 3 seconds to switch off.
The so worked but not, I have pushed even more than 10 seconds later.
I thought the switch was broken before I came up with the idea, time to install the "Epson Copy Utility" program from the CD, and then the device was turned off now by the switch is pressed for 3 seconds.
So without this software the Deactivating works for me!
The scans are good, and the speed of the scans is perfectly okay for this price range.
My old scanner was not faster.
The cover is awesome, in my old scanner I was able to remove the cover completely, but here can be very good tilt and is also suitable for thick books.
The electricity and USB cable is on the side, I do not mind. I put the device with the switch back towards PC.
I need the 4 switch only the on / off button, the rest I'll do the computer.
One can only hope that keeps the scanner and min. 10 years the Epson is only 12 month warranty, which now creates not just trust.
