The light output is not enough for me (better value at a preset Av) from. The flash I could not manage. The Blitz "lit" after the image was made. All technical function settings of my camera (50D) were not able to eliminate this problem. This may have been a general or just my problem.
An instruction manual with troubleshooting and a slightly more extensive description would be beneficial.
Since the flash mode and the light output was not enough to me, I have again taken distance from the art. A "real" ring flash is a completely different world!
Addendum - March 2015
After a long search on the net and talking to other photographers, I have now bought the "Nissin MF18 Macro Flash N058". It costs round 260 and is a very similar ring flash for "Canon Ring Lite MR-14 EX" (670). The big difference for the Canon is the price. At the same time the Nissin offers some nice additions and accessories.
I want to say very clearly that there are worlds between the Nissan and Canon ring flash and this model.
Actually, you can not compare these flashes.
If someone is really interested in a ring flash, then he should put his money, for example in the Nissin and let this Toys disregarded. New Reviews for the ring flashes there in the market and on the net.
Cheap is often expensive.
