With the new firmware, the error was corrected partly, you can always connect to the TL-WR710N now, however, the connection always goes after 5-8 Sec. lost, it seems to me as if the TL constantly makes a reboot in order to seek a WISP connection. Here you can configure anything because the connection is lost again even during the configuration, the only alternative is to configure the device via a LAN cable. I must therefore unfortunately return the device.
Schade (because I like the built-in power supply and rugged housing), the Edimax BR-6258nL and the ASUS WL-330NUL make the perfect and the Edimax one will even diverted directly to the configuration page when there is no connection, so you do not even have the know IP of the router. When Asus WL-330NUL you must enter router.asus.com
I still noticed:
- Via LAN, the device is always displayed with the default name, for example (TP LINK_64F884), although I have changed when, a little strange.
- On a Telekom hotspot can I register via WISP not at all, the unit does not get IP, the Asus WL-330NUL does that, the TL-WR710N has in a FON router, for example, no problems.
Too bad too, because I have reported the exact same error in February 2013 and has not really been an improvement.
