I bought the 58C6500, because I "looked for a screen from 55 and had already tried various LED / LCDs. Clouding, Flashlights and lousy motion sharpness brought me back to a plasma.
The HD image with BlueRay is absolutely great! The black is perhaps not as dark as in the 2010s Panasonics, but he can keep absolutely in grayscale, color reproduction and brilliance. I would even say that it trumps some Panasonics.
The SD image is also excellent, the upscaler is impeccable and exceeds that of my old Panasonic 50V10E far.
For gamers: The input lag in game mode is very low. I had no problems with online Battlefield BC2 or Halo Reach. I mean even in movie mode it was absolutely OK.
The only downside ... as some already reported here, he has given a very loud humming / whirring of itself. This was typical plasma depending on the brightness shown, but far above everything bearable. The noise was only heard when you sit directly in front of the center of the TV. I'm not quite sure, but it may be that it was a little quieter, the longer was the equipment. Unfortunately, my unit had also a dark stripe across the picture, so I had to exchange it. Nevertheless, I'll try it again with the 58C6500, because you get a fantastic picture to absolutely fair price!
