When I received it, I was quickly impressed by the quality of the object and especially the comfort of the shave, I found greater than that experienced with the multileaf or disposable razors. In fact, this is extremely pleasant, is the precision, the ease with which the blade slice even a beard a week ...
This shaver me basically converted to traditional shave. And made me want to test others. This is where I realized that although Edwin Jagger DE89 was honorable, there was better (at least for me, the faces are all different, some prefer this razor to others).
Let me explain: I have since acquired two other razors, 2 Merkurs (34C and 23C), and I much prefer the head (the part that contains the blade) of Merkurs razors that I find:
-less aggressive,
-more sweet,
-more effective,
-more accurate,
-more comfortable in that the curves of my face, my jaw is perfectly espoused by the razor during gliding.
Also the fact that the handle is smooth offers less "grip" ... the size of the handle is however good (although a little too thick and heavy for my taste).
Attention do not understand as long as the Edwin Jagger is a bad razor. There is very good, and my rating (3 stars) is severe. Some prefer to Merkurs, this is not my case but the appreciation of a razor is very personal.
