First, I tried to play on a USB stick. The first stick recognized not did not go into the bush, at least under normal ordinary pressure. Infected the second stick, exerted a little more pressure and he stuck but actually in the bush. After switching on and pressure to play, he began to play - and the fairly decent for such a small device.
But then came the shock, wanted to pull out the USB flash drive again, that was hard. When I had the stick in his hand, half the USB jack wedged still stick ... (ie the plastic part from the socket in the normal while inserting the contacts). The socket was require at least on my machine, definitely too tight! To me, as to remember that I have already read in other reviews.
What mach'ste now .... return? Oh sch..ss it, via the USB port, I did not actually use the part anyway.
Next time the I-Pod plugged it works as it should. Menu from I-Pod can not be operated on the device, only just above the I-Pod, the volume buttons on the device directly control the volume of I-pods (which is in another of my devices differently, there to indicate the volume buttons do not change the I I-Pod, but only on the device itself), the "front" and "back" buttons switches with a simple pressure of the track, with prolonged pressure they seek in the track.
Next, still looking for a micro SD card and recorded on the PC with an album.
But what makes the "Musicman" there? After what sort of plays because from the tracks?
After naming the files in any case not, I have indeed always the track number with the file name.
After track number of the MP3 Tag also not, the album was met properly. Maybe he plays the alphabetically by track name? (I've already experienced in devices). So let's briefly the track numbers entered into the title - Nope, that's not, still everything chaotic mess.
OK, an idea I had, have the tracks on the album then times one by one copied to the SD Card and lo and behold, the Musicman they will play in the correct order.
The title will therefore be played in the order in which they were copied to the SD card!
That's pretty stupid, because if you have sorted albums in folders and copies the complete folder on the card, then you can not say in what order it since Windows copied strikes ....
There is also no possibility of times an album (or a folder of mine) to jump forward, you have to always click through all the tracks. Furthermore, the device is not to be used at night to sleep, as there is no possibility of playing only one album. Even if only one album on the card, the Musicman begins after the end all over again.
The same behavior will probably show the Musicman even with USB flash drives, but I could no longer test (see above)
Here again a Edit: Did the Musicman now also with an I-Phone 4 in operation. Again, I can not find the noise often described in other reviews. For me, the I-Phone sitting - also in contrast to other reviews - good on the socket. The matter is then, however, a bit shaky, even the I-phone tapped and the top turret tilts)
Have the device now also starting to go in and use had, battery life is about 4 hours is not the Burner, but ok. That is why now again below also an appreciation of 2 to 3 stars.
So, not to make use of USB, SD with restrictions; actually I would want to give the device for just 0 stars. However, since it works with the I-Pod quite well and for a device of this size actually a very good sound (Ok, bass should not be expected, the bleeping which others I could not find fault with here) and a neat volume has now after the tests on the road and with the I-Phone still 3 stars.
However, the Music Mans there without I-Pod station, I would not want to hurt me.
