This is the second pair that I bought me after a belt of old couple after several years really constant wearing (not in bed or deep snow :), but certainly when it's cold or rainy, and many outdoor activities like beach races, jogging, hiking was torn irreparabal with river crossings and long bike rides) in the heel area. They have seen it all and are still useful as slippers. Hiking I would so not because the sole it is not rough enough.
CAUTION: Do not fall out shortly. Order one size larger !!!
