These batteries are packed with clever 4 in plastic boxes (see photo section) that can contain either at R6 size batteries, or as in this case the batteries in R3 format, properly maintained by a variety of channels ( this comment on an order placed and received in December 2012, it may no longer be relevant after a certain period).
The NiMh batteries can be used almost anywhere in place of alkaline batteries: Wii joysticks or Wii Fit balance, alarm clocks, remote controls, electronic toys, interior elements of weather stations, GPS, compact cameras or cell flash devices reflex, etc ...; there are still some situations in which their use is not recommended:
- Exterior use 'permanent', as external probes weather stations, flashlights that will stay in cars in all weather (would not it be very careful then recharge a battery with deteriorated joints ...)
- Devices that would empty too deeply batteries, which significantly degrade the: eg old incandescent flashlights, some mechanical toys. By cons, electronic equipment no longer work if the voltage is too low, which has the advantage of preserving their batteries.
The batteries in low self-discharge, eneloop like, retain at least 80% of their charge for at least a year (or more for recent models). So they are still operational, which is not the case of conventional NiMH batteries, which need to be refilled just before use. Incidentally, they are delivered already loaded.
Finally, it is preferable to have a charger 'intelligent' with at least circuits of individual loads (such as the Maha Powerex C9000, which also allows users to 'refresh' the batteries, and is available 'dashed 'on the Amazon site). Everybody (even and especially 'big' brands) which charge the batteries with 2 or 4 are to be avoided, it inevitably happens (after several cycles) to override one of the batteries and exhaust 'the other, in 2 cases they undergo irreversible damage.
