It Should be at least 22AWG to go over the limit 1 Amper (the lower the better, the cable is thicker). Current chargers can supply up to 4 amps and many devices can pull more than 1 Amper. My BlackBerry pulls over 1.3 Amper with 22AWG cable but hardly 1 Amper with this one.
PortaPow should know better than this one offer as a Fast Charger. Their chargers and USB Ampermeter are totally fine. I wonder why theyhave to do this.
