I hesitated a long time before choosing my brand and my series but on an amateur blog that offered a visual test 5 UV filters [the Hoya HD], we immediately saw that, within the Hoyas series (as well as other brands), the HD was the only remove halo effects caused by the florescence of the light source used for the test. So I opted for the HD UV filter and I have not hesitated to take her for Polarizer. HD (for "hardened") is the acronym chosen by Hoya for this filter series of up to 9 layers, transparent 99.97% which are almost indestructible and resistant to cleaning on-the-fly at Kleenex. Even buy a filter that I would replace that if I lose, I did not hesitate to pay twice more than my initial budget for this combination. The filters are supplied in a protective box that keep it stationary filter when déplacementse and has the advantage of being easily unscrew one hand while the other is OQP to trigger your SLR. With all that you would think that I work in the marketing department of Hoya but since I researched as much to offer you a summary of my findings / impressions_positives to make your choice if you plan on using filters / upscale. Alex.
