I will briefly evaluate the Alpha 5000 here. After about 1500 paintings, I can say that the image quality up to ISO 800 is absolutely great, and ISO 1600 is still good, then allow the quality to have, but is not bad compared to other (similar) cameras. Iso-areas above 1600 I will probably never use, at least I have never used this option in the past 8 years.
Previously I had the NEX-3N as a second camera and was really happy, but I lacked a camera internal WLAN - connection and a clearer menu. Advantage of the Alpha 5000 is on the one hand, the better image quality and on the other hand, the more structured menu with its many setting possibilities. Several keys can be configured free! It can not hurt, if you take a little more intense deals with the menu / the camera. Downside is that it is slightly slower. Switching will take much longer than the NEX-3N. The WLAN connection to a Iphone 5 or a Samsung tablet is working properly and swiftly. For about 430, - Euro you get a super compact camera with an APS sensor, less probably not go.
Also, the lens was able to convince, especially in the area 25mm-40mm you get a really good picture quality. For such a compact lens with image stabilization a really good performance! Downloading apps also works very well, there are now really good apps!
What is unfortunately detrimental, is the right-hand side-mounted "thumb rest", which is no longer rubberized and thus significantly slippery :(
Nevertheless, I forgive here deserved 5 stars.

Addendum: By the way, who is looking for a camera that is able to quickly take many consecutive images has probably with the Alpha 5000 no fun. But that is also known! See reviews. For me (camera always with you) is primarily the picture quality as well as handling and size of the camera important / crucial! Oh yes, and the processing in my opinion is really very good.
