Yes it loads and you can use it. I also have otherwise not found any useful source, Unfortunately, the magnets are weaker than the original, thus the plug does not hold very well. It takes a while until you manage the clock to put on the table so that the tension in the USB cable does not immediately trigger the charging adapter to the clock of the clock.
