Price / performance .... * cough *

First of all: I had before this headset the "Light" version on the go, the Asus ASUS Travelite HS-1000W. This I had now unfortunately exchange since after almost 10 months of normal use of a joint is broken. But since I have otherwise done consistently good experiences with this headset, I decided again for an Asus, again better judgment. I had various reviews and tests already taken that there may be problems with the HS-W1. This was, however, also of the HS-1000W. The only relevant difference is that when W1 also true, at least in my case.

Pro:
Sound - The headset has a pretty good sound, at least when you consider that it costs less than 50 and is wireless. Sufficiently powerful bass and usable heights. However, I am accustomed to cheaper Asus headsets more.
Processing - There is nothing to complain about. the frame is solid, nothing rattles unnecessary, everything is usable solid, no sharp Did that come from the cast and unclean work in the cleaning.
Comfort - Again, everything is in the green zone. The ear cushions do not press uncomfortable on the ears, the size is well adapted to the head shape.
Operation - The headset without problems automatically installs (Win 7 Ultimate, SP1) and is thereafter or after the first charge for use. The buttons on the headset are within easy reach and even without take it off very easy to use. The volume buttons to adjust the volume of the entire system.

Contraindications:
Unfortunately, there are degrees of the negative points that stand out in my case especially, and have also led to the return of the product.
Micro - There are several points that stand out negatively. 1. the boom is somehow ... strange. In the deployed position it sits so close to my face that I continuously with the cheek bump on the arm while talking. Unless I flap him to the bottom, but there gets the mic with nothing when I speak. 2. I have the talk an extreme noise in the background which is not on my computer, otherwise I would have here 3 defective units, and which I think is highly unlikely. The noise is so strong that the opposite does not understand me in no matter what program (TS3, Skype). Now it could be in theory that I have just caught a Monday product. After I looked around for a while but in the Net, I had become convinced that it seems unfortunately to act on this issue, rather the rule than the exception. And since I'm personally not a fan of gambling, I did not ask to send me a new device.
Charging Cable - As has been written in various reviews, the cable is extremely short and is good for charging during use hardly. Although costs a longer cable grade 3 but it can not indeed the intention be to buy a new product immediately and to order replacement parts.

What I can not rate:
Since the headset has carefully held for 15 minutes with me, I can neither the battery nor the scope or lasting comfort. I would actually assume that all of this, similar to the 1000W, is quite good, but in this model much seems different ...

Actually you could here a great headset I would even recommend if not available headset to the device and would hang a mic. So it is sufficient MMN only for 2 stars. Sorry Asus.
