Sharpness monster

After some time I was able to fulfill the dream and buy it. MADNESS! In Aperture 2 so sharp, so you can shave. Never again would I want to miss it.
Since I have been working as a photographer for weddings and I have covered with the 135mm f2 the slight telephoto had to be purchased something for close again now. Only what if one is so spoiled with sharpness?
A 50mm was out of the question for me. First, I wanted to get a little more on the image and secondly, there was no 50mm which could completely convince me at full aperture. Furthermore, I was the much criticized 50mm 1.4 (version1) from Sigma call my own. I was actually very happy with it, if you stop down. From the f2.8 Sigma had no competition. But use a 1.4 lens only from 2.8? Neeeeee. I lent it again and kept me the last couple of months with a used 50 1.4 Canon afloat. That was of good use from 1.8. But even more bad than good. A wedding a few weeks ago brought me to rethink. A photographer colleague use there the Canon 35mm 1.4 L. I could borrow it to me for a few shots and make a few test photos with it. The view through 35mm liked me before much much better. Should not believe how much more you do see on the picture you. But that was all what I liked at the L lens. The sharpness and image quality at 1.4 at all did not speak to me. Even 1.8 could not convince me. The shots seemed more muddy and anything but sharp. But then even 1000-Euro + for a used version?
I then several days occupied myself with alternative. have Google, Youtube etc turned upside down. I quickly found one in Sigma. Canon offers the 35 f2 IS indeed a very good and well priced alternative, but was clear to me that there must be 1.4.
The one and the other lens had to give way and I could buy this 600 grams gem. Just the feel of a dream. It looks metallic, processed very noble and high quality. The AF ring is not the biggest, but he slips comfortably in your hand and is easy to grip. What still stands out very positive that's already given weight. About 600 grams brings the lens on the scale. For a fixed focal length really neat. That you should definitely keep in mind. Personally, I like that a lot. It makes me feel (it's also safe so) to keep something very very quality in his hands.
Well something had to be photographed. Flowers? Nope. Called a friendly model, agreed to meet a spontaneous and made a few shots at full aperture. I have particularly focused me in the shooting on the eye area. In shooting, I was very impressed by the AF. Super fast (very short AF away) and incredibly accurate. Anyone who could test the 135 f2 knows what a good AF. The AF 35mm need be because not hide.
I examined the recordings already regularly on the display, which already looked quite reasonable. Home in Lightroom then came the blow with the famous hammer. I had to convince the EXIFS them that I had here actually set the aperture 1.4 again. Such a focus has never come across me in this panel. No mud, no "veil", just crisp sharpness, where it should be.
Stopped down to 1.8 again an increase in the details. Unbelievable.
My objective Park I now have radically reduced the probably two sharpest lenses in telephoto and close-up range.
