I was looking for a simple entry-5.1 set for movie enjoyment. For music I prefer my good Sennheiser headphone, but this set is not also done - so for films / TV super, not for music. During normal TV, I let all the 3.1 run mode and rarely in 2.0 Stereo mode if the source is not the best.
Attached are the speakers on my Onkyo TX-SR313 AVR and the sound is in my humble opinion very good, the Center overrides a little and the subwoofer makes hell of a lot of pressure, but, thanks to fine adjustment of course both a problem that you do not get to grips with; -)
The look and feel is good, the front / surround speakers and the center are really very compact, so "demand" too much of the small volume. The subwoofer on the other hand is well sized and for every taste is thus something when it comes to the bass level, I prefer it a little "less".
What was hell 10 years ago, namely a manufacturer for a good price / performance for Einstieger is mMn Wharfedale with the model today.
Would I buy again at any time and am very happy with it and enjoy my BluRays with the proper 5.1 sound.
