After many not so good compromises I was still looking for a tripod that accompanied me on my motorcycle long-distance travel, without straining too much - by weight and volume terms. So far (as Slik or FEISOL) were "in themselves" good, but just a rather poor compromise. In particular, the length in the retracted state was me usually too big still. Not in an absolute sense (35 cm are not long), but such a maximum extension length that I no longer have to bend down to look through the viewfinder has me not. So if ever stoop then I also correct - but then the pack size should be relatively even lower. Solutions such as "Gorilla" do not come from fundamental reasons out of the question, even mini tripod with fixed legs. For me, among other things important to a tripod to build and align even on uneven ground fast and stable, which is why extendable legs were indispensable (eg for driving shots from your own bike; with remote trigger). So I ordered the Rollei M4-Mini. Was new just not available, which is why I jumped at the only hand-hot deal on Amazon. "Used" was only the packaging, subsequently taped with scotch new, anything without signs of wear. Although I had read the measurements, I was surprised by the pack size. When folded, does not even reach the length of my hand. The materials and processing work very valuable, everything is full. Actually, I'm not a fan of this rotary-clamp-locking of the legs, but the associated absence of the Klemmhebelchen also reduces the volume, also the supply and finding works perfectly. The low height of extension brings a legally compliant status with them. Problems with capacity are not expected to come with me because my traveling SONY RX10 and a Canon G1x Mk2 used, so no typical "heavyweights". Even with "static" most unfavorable structure tilts during the extension of lens nix. The head seems to be quite wertig, I nevertheless immediately replaced it with a (existing) Arca-Swiss-compatible, with bulk and weight increased only slightly. I transport my equipment when traveling in a Mantona photo backpack that can fit in a motorcycle topcase. Thus I go everything at hand, if it is then time goes on hike or because thieves prophylaxis with anything must satisfy a handle. In theory (in practice, the court already exploited), the tripod would loose with the backpack, there is not much more space claimed in terms of volume as a DSLR with travel zoom. Now there is still next to the backpack. A nice extra feature is the small belt holster; which serves as protection and just to help transport - could be extremely handy. Such a compact, nevertheless complete tripod I had not yet. As I said, a compromise. But I can make said driving shots, and also for landscape shots and building it to good use - an increase, after which you can place it, can be found most often. In addition I have for my G1x viewfinder, you can swing up to 90 ° - which reduces the amount of own dislocation significantly. So: The practice-duration test is still pending, the comparison and experiences with other tripods can hope, however, especially at the very reasonable price.
