+ Image quality / brightness
The image is well set on the manual focus dial, which is a little too low in the case, with some sensitivity. The HD ready resolution brings the DLP chip built very well to the big screen.
The colors are a result of the LED technology of the Moving already advance. The colors look through the extended color space greatly satisfying, but can thus also simultaneously act 'foreign' and need to be adjusted in any event from the menu. LG has done a good job here.
For me, the projector reached at a distance of about 2 meters a 1.52m wide image, which corresponds to a diagonal of about 70 inches. Here (in overcast and drawn curtains) and maximum (evening in low light), the brightness is enough already with the energy-saving modes of medium to generate a brilliant image for this price range.
The black / white contrast of the device is really very good, and compared to my now 8 year old Epson 800x600 LCD projector worlds. Sure, you can not compare this device with a Full HD projector lamps in a price range of 2000-3000, yet I am delighted with the image quality of a still very handy little device.
++ Volume
In energy saving mode the fan medium volume is very pleasant and by no means be described as strörend. When Enerigesparmode maximum fan is almost no longer be heard. Power Save Mode "Minimium" I can not really recommend it because of the fans in this mode, turning up strong and very disturbing acts - perhaps useful at parties, at where stronger ambient noise. That's why I use for my purposes the power save mode "medium" because it is seen from my perspective what prosecuted brightness / volume ratio on the best mode.
+ 24p
Many speak of jerky images in the 24p representation. A bucking, I could find in my device in any way. The motion images in 1920 / 24p mode on my Samsung Blurayplayer can be described as very liquid. One must also remember that 24 frames can never be so liquid at horizontal / vertical movements like 50 frames or now also the new HFR (high frame rate - 48fps) system in the cinema (used in HOBBIT the first time)
From me there's so no restrictions for this device with respect to the representation of 24p - The playback is never artificial or jerky
+ Playbacks
+ PS3 works beautifully
+ Bluray Player TOP
+ Movies directly from hard drive via USB TOP
Playback via the computer I need to retest
++ GUI
The user interface is one of the best I've ever encountered in a projector. The most important functions can be quickly accessed via a Q.Menu. The image itself can also be very well adapted (color, brightness, contrast, sharpness, and more).
o lack of lens shift and zoom
What is missing with this machine as a single is a lens shift (which would have been really readily technically feasible) and a zoom lens. LG has saved ask here in the wrong.
CONCLUSION:
What can I say? I'm very excited about this small good-looking box. For 499, there is a low (Energy Saving - on medium or maximum), very economical device that puts a really good picture on the canvas. It may be that older revision came about issues that I present myself at the revision can not be determined. No "jerky" 24p movies. Moreover, in the present optical resolution and good sharpness and a good contrast ratio.
All in all, I can place the device each his heart, the manager or a good home and portable video projector for movie nights with friends or want to call his own and also would like to have still a very durable and economical product (about 30,000 hours).
