My review is from the Lenovo G700 notebook with an Intel i3 processor, 4GB of RAM and a 500GB hard drive. Before I had decided on this notebook, was looking for a cheap, office and gaming capable device. My price was a maximum of 450 Euro. After some reviews and the Amazon browse product reviews, I chose this laptop. What is certain is the Lenovo G700 no high-end notebook, but for under 500 Euros, it offers a viable hardware. If you want to upgrade later, still can to a maximum of 4GB rebuy an additional memory modules and expand the system to 8GB. This notebook has a 500GB hard drive. A second hard disk can not accommodate unfortunately. The display is a good size at 17 inches, but the contrast could be a bit stronger. Very pleasant was the same to me on the AccuType keyboard. The keys are not directly to each other hanging, but created some distance, just as you would expect from a traditional PC keyboard. Was included with the notebook a Windows 8 version, which is located on a separate partition on the hard drive. A Windows 7 users like I have to just get used a bit. Genial is definitely the boot time. Few seconds after turning on the Windows has finished loading.
The Lenovo G700 I use mainly Office 2010 and occasionally play World of Warcraft. It can be played fluently with high graphics settings. If you compare the graphics settings on Ultra but "it a bit jerky. Otherwise, the computer has everything I need and what I do not need much.
Positives: Large 17-inch screen (HD 1080p) 4GB DDR3 RAM (1Riegel) 500GB hard drive Large AccuType keyboard DVD burner Enough connections (4x USB, HDMI, D-Sub VGA, network, sound) Windows 8 Ordinary processing 2in1 card reader WLAN + Bluetooth 4.0 720p Webcam
Negatives: Display (contrast & viewing angle) No Windows Disk included (only on one partition) No manual included
I was very pleasantly surprised by the notebook. It has a host of facilities, plenty of connectivity options and a decent performance. The price-performance ratio. How does / makes the notebook over the next few months years remains to be seen. I will report about it in any case.
